How to Know God

What is the Purpose of Our Lives?

There is a purpose and meaning behind every life! We were wonderfully and fearfully put together by God as the Bible tells us, "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. (Psalms 139:13-15)" . Because God made us He has a purpose for each and every one of us and that purpose is to know and to worship Him. There is a God shaped hole in our soul that can only be filled by having a relationship with the God who created us. Every one of us feels that need and that draw, and it's a longing that can't be filled by money, material possessions, success or anything else on this earth even religion cannot fill this void. It can only be filled by a real relationship with God through Jesus Christ. And it's only through Jesus that we can have a relationship with God. And only Jesus can provide for us a life that is rich and full and give us that absolute certainty of spending eternity in heaven.

Above All Things Put On Love

But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

(Colossians 3:14-17)

God has Chosen the Foolish Things to Shame the Proud

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption that, as it is written, He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.

(1st Corinthians 1:27-31)
